Never
- use any of our stoves indoors or inside a tent*
- leave your stove unattended or with children.
- put your stove on a blanket or plastic
- set up your stove on a painted or varnished table. Plain wood is fine but place 6-8 sheets of silver foil underneath before you light up.
Do
- set your stove up on grass, but take care to put 6-8 layers of silver foil under the stove to prevent scorching of the ground. (we recommend you do this on stone patios too)
- improve the life span of your stove and a give it a clean, a little bit of washing up liquid on a scouring sponge works a treat. Don’t pour water over your stove this will encourage rust.
- store your stove indoors or in a shed or outdoor cupboard this will preserve it nicely.
*all our stoves are strictly for outdoor use except our double wood burner with chimney bracket. This stove can only be used in a well ventilated shed or outbuilding providing that a chimney is installed which projects at least 20cm through the roof or window.
