Have you ever been impressed by a product not just by the nice design but by appreciating the way it works the cleverness behind it - amazed at how simple but brilliant something can be. This is how I felt when I first used a Prakti Stove.
Awhile back I was putting together a roast chestnut street food stall and needed a heat source that would be hot enough and not have the health and safety people getting excited so rather than use gas which is not very authentic or good for flavour I went on a charcoal and wood burner odyssey.
After many days of fruitless searching I came across Prakti a unique company based in India, Prakti story I couldn't believe that they had exactly what I was looking for and ordered 2 stoves immediately. When they arrived I tested them and was floored by the speed at which it lit and the heat that they kicked out, I was so excited I cooked the chestnuts and everything edible I could get my hands on. Next we built them into a tricycle box and the great thing was that due to their insulation and the fact the heat goes up rather than sideways, they fitted the box perfectly, the finished product was a cracking chestnut stall.
Then we got thinking about all the other ways these stoves could be used for the benefit of the street food trade and how they could revolutionize the camping experience and inspire all kinds of creative outdoor cooking in the UK and so began our relationship with the lovely people at Prakti and we became their UK distributor.
Cooking has always been a passion of mine and to cook over fire by its nature and quality is without doubt the finest heat you can cook with.
